Description

A great, sustained crack/corner climb following a pair of large, square-cut overlaps, Boving Reflection is a great route to push your trad limit while having solid protection.

Begin on a right-leaning finger and hand crack to the left of the big, blocky overhang marking the start to "Pushing Forward Back."

Start by bouldering your way up the crack underneath the first overlap to a small ledge. Trend right to pull around a small bulge where the crack steepens into the second overlap. Follow the crack up as it banks right, and turn on the afterburners to reach the end of the second overlap. Be aware of key feet that will save you a lot of pump. From the end of the second overlap, head straight up for the chains, and be aware of the occasional loose, sand-covered ledge on your way there.

Location

A 3-5 minute walk left from the Pinecrest Buttress (with routes such as Scarface and The Great Owl) and immediately next to Pushing Forward Back.
