Description

Climb the route to anchors on the right. Wonderful approach pitch to the Upper Mummy routes.

Location

Continue up and slightly left from the trail at the north end of the Amphitheater and traverse to an opening where the Scepter and Mummy II are located.

Protection

Bolted anchor. Can top rope with a 70m rope (tie knots).

I’m not usually one to split hairs about grades but I think giving it 4+ is a sandbag. Yes recent farming has generally made it form fatter and wider and with loads of traffic leaving it picked out this will generally leave it feeling easier. But having watched it over a couple seasons I think it’s fair to say it’s a WI5 that can sometimes be in WI4 condition but not the other way around. Just another persons opinion, take it for what it’s worth. Awesome climb! 5 days ago
