The direct start to Wild Thing. Finally the line is, well, independent.

Previously bolted, but as far as I know, never done.. Anyone?

Start on the first bolt of Big Red and step into the white corner/scoop to the left.

Bolts to a chain anchor. Careful use of long slings and back-cleaning (especially the first two bolts) in the initial corner reduces rope drag to nothing higher up on Wild Thing. Bring a 70m rope, or tie knots!!

i freed the start to the horizontal@10 years ago at about 13a..but never linked the whole took it to the top? great job... Jul 20, 2010
Sharratt did the bottom part and then went up Wild Life. He did not do this line. Good job on this link up. One thing I love about climbing at Wild River is the monster need that 70M rope.

Mad Dog's arete on the right side of the crag is a route I have always wanted to do. It is not very well protected on the bottom. But it is a full 35M long with great climbing. Jul 29, 2010
