Climbs the left part of the wide flow. Start either on the 15-foot curtain or further right on more steppy terrain. Climb steppy, fat ice to trees at the top.

Faces southeast, so it is often wet. However, it forms early and stays fat and plastic until March most years.

Toproping is the default here, but the gear is great with sufficient trees for anchors.

Great for groups (short approach, decent "standing around" area, moderate ice, short climbs, easy to set top ropes, gets some sun, often sheltered from the wind). Best to put on crampons at the road, approach is usually on ice.

While rated WI4-, it usually feels easier because it sees a lot of traffic and it gets chopped out. Mar 9, 2015
