Step over a small gap and then trend left up steep face, like most routes at Malibu this route is littered with huecos and good holds

On the opposite side of the boulder from Letterbox/Nipple Denial Syndrome, first route to the right of the arete. This is now the second route from the left (out of 4 on the face now). The Arete has been bolted.

4 bolts anchor

This is now the second route from the left (out of 4 on the face now). The Arete has been bolted with a 10d-ish looking route. Sep 24, 2007

I tried to lead this climb a few weeks back, got stuck and traversed over to the route to the right to descend. The next time I tope roped it cleanly, and than last week I lead it no problem. A very fun climb with a few fun tricks to figure out.

There was a plastic figurine super hero stuck into this route at one point. Anybody know about that ? Jul 28, 2008

Like people have mentioned, there is another climb that shares this start. Climb the first 2 bolts of Third Degree, extend the second bolt to reduce drag, then head left through another 3ish bolts. Two bolts at the top. It's probably somewhere in the 5.10b/c range.

The big, obvious hold for clipping the 1st bolt is broken and sort of stuck in place for now, but it's sure to pop out on someone while clipping. I couldn't get it out, but someone with something to give it one good whack with should take a look and see if they can get it out and keep the climb safe. Sep 5, 2017

There seem to be a number of injuries happening on this route. Perhaps it needs at PG rating. Dec 28, 2018
