Warm fuzzies, atta boys and a group hug to everyone involved. This is a stellar climb that is in your face and makes you hang on for a long time after the crux. Total sandbag at 5.11. Jun 26, 2006

Pretty sweet route. A long line of thought provoking pumpy granite with unique movement. Most definitely sandbagged at 5.11 but in-line with the grades of the other routes in the area. Definitely will need to work some endurance before coming back for this one Apr 21, 2011

Awesome route, only 2 stars for me though, pulled off a nice handful of rock just under the final roof. Fun fun fun moves though, I'll go back for this one when it isn't so damn windy May 30, 2011

I bypassed the brutal crimps by venturing left to the undercling after the forth bolt. Definitely easier but perhaps not in the spirit of the route? Sep 17, 2011

Mike K... way to go ! And thanks for the mussys.

A couple of _very_ experienced locals (who never post on MP) have hinted to me that the route may be 12a. You are the first to be brave enough to say it here. Maybe a hold broke since I did it ?

I think we watched you send as we hiked out yesterday. You were at the upper rest so long we couldn't tell if you were flora or fauna !! Oct 23, 2017

Thanks John! And thanks again for the info on where to buy mussy hooks (Loews at broadway and kolb or wholesalemarine.com lists them as snap hooks.)

And yea, I made sure my belayer was awake when I left that rest. Thankfully Matt is patient man :)

As for the grade, I think the difficulty is more a result of the continuous stream of 11 moves than any one particularly hard sequence. My guess is you were just super-fit when you did the FA! Oct 23, 2017
