Description

This route is a mellow climb to warm up on or solo as it's relatively secure and straight forward. A few meters left of Cell Bound (arete on the upper right side of the west face) there is a large right-facing corner.Climb up into this and follow it to the top of the rock, then go up over the summit to a downclimb E or W, either one of which requires a few heads up scramble moves harder than the climb itself...!

I felt this climb was fun, but finding a decent place to build an anchor on the summit was a pain in the rump. I would not recommend this to a new leader since the gear placements were tricky and/or rather sparse. I agree the down climb could be intimidating for new climbers. Feb 1, 2011

Yeah, if you need a rope on this you're NOT going to be happy on the downclimb. Dec 26, 2010

The route's moves are not interesting for an experienced climber. The down-climb will intimidate beginners (plus it takes 3 times longer to get down than to climb up). In short, not worth it. But the dikes are beautiful and the view from the summit at sunset is lovely. Jan 24, 2010
