Description
Mount Osceola is a household name among hikers around New England. It's position close to the south end of the White Mountain National Forest and it's accessibility from both Tripoli Rd and The Kank make it a popular destination. Anyone who has hiked the peak or looked from afar can see they there is no shortage of granite basically all over the mountain. Climbing on Osceola has not really been thoroughly explored however. Probably due to a combination of longer approaches and it's location basically right between the more popular areas of North Conway, Franconia and of course, Rumney. Bradley White, a true backwoods NH explorer, and a few others have picked off some routes on various cliffs over the years. More recently High Camp Crag was discovered and numerous high quality lines have gone in.
See sub areas for details but Mt Osceola is "not nothing" when it comes to NH climbing options.
