Description
The rich, beautiful and bullet-proof Utah Hills lie at the foot of the western desert. Rich in history and exploration, this area has a lot of quality rock. Climbers from all walks have left their mark on these amazing limestone crags and classic after classic route have been engineered. Solid, bolted sport lines are endless and typically one pitch in nature.
Climbing in the Utah Hills allows for year-long access. Every crag is diverse and these cliffs face about every direction. Hide from the sun, bake in the sun, dodge wind, or suffer a bit and enjoy a crag all to yourself. Best condition, of course will remain in fall, spring, and my favorite, winter.
Access to these areas hold these interest of many. ATV's, range shooters, campers, rock hounds, climbers, and mining operations. The local climbing community has worked hard to keep access open and has met and worked with these companies to keep climbing open. Appreciation is shown by leaving the areas cleaner than found and showing the property owners that its not the climbers leaving the area trashed.
