Straw Man
Aug 9, 2023 · Lead / Onsight. First route led on Aryeh’s bday morning climb at French’s. First bolt very high off ground, a little sketchy. Second bolt crux, easier move to the left side over the corner bulge. Rest of the route full of good jugs and solid feet for resting.

Oz
Jun 11, 2023 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Pitch does thin out in the middle for finger holds. Had to take a couple times to locate the next bolt. Felt a little closer to 5.9. Fun climb! View of hood from the top. Set up top rope for Aryeh, we both got kinda pumped.

Balloon Knot
Jun 11, 2023 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Led these two pitches of 5.9 with aryeh following. First pitch starts with dynamic/bouldery move up over a little roof, remainder of pitch is cake. Second pitch is a more exposed traverse, loose rock and last two bolts are run out. Small feet and hand holds. Second pitch (although rated 5.8) felt harder than first pitch. Happy with my send and rope management at anchors. Aryeh was a little nervous and got stuck a couple times on the traverse pitch. Rappelled straight down the face of a different climb to the left.

Giant's Staircase
Jun 11, 2023 · 3 pitches. Lead / Onsight. Led 3 pitches with Aryeh following. First time leading all pitches without any help and doing the rope management and anchor transfers myself! Such a good time. Last climb of the day to the top of the dome. French cheese (tomme de Savoie) w a sea salt slab and brewed coffee with aryeh’s french press jetboil with view of Hood in the clouds. Free hanging rappel off the back side
