Dec 21, 2024 · 4 pitches. Lead / Flash. 1.5 hours from road to base. Approach gully is all the way on the left face of the formation. We got lost a couple time because we didn’t go far enough. Spicy approach, especially the last chimney. Thin belay ledge. Not recommended to wait there if multiple parties. Bring lots of water. Even on cool days this route gets hot. Easy chicken head climbing up to the traverse, then some committing slab moves on pure friction as you move left. The gully at the top is a nice place to rest in shade before moving up a ramp on the face to summit. Did it in 4 pitches to minimize rope drag. #1-#4 cams a must for protecting the beginning ledge and the shade at the top. Brown tricam also came in handy on the traverse.

Dec 28, 2023 · Lead. Pitch 9 is the money pitch. It’s got a bit of everything and is a nice challenge with several crux sections. Fun climbing.
Don’t link 8 and 9–terrible rope drag and you’d need 22 or 23 draws. Most pitches seem to link up decently otherwise. Pitch 5 finishes up a ramp on the left after the bolt with the chain.
Anchors are bomber; really no need to build your own off the bolts—the chains are perfectly set up.

Oct 9, 2023 · Lead. First two bolts are east clips. Look for a nice 1 finger pocket for the right hand to pull over from the first ledge. From here it gets a bit dicey. A couple good holds near the left corner. Thin hands on the face. I found myself flagged out sideways at one point. Crux moves well protected. The rest is a scarefest. Definitely not a 5.7. Expect a .9 at least
