Description Suggest change

Fun and diverse line up this long and proud wall at the bottom of Tower of Babel area.  **Note: Cave area needed lots of trundling to prepare this wall. Be wise and wear helmets please.**

Start with bulbous 5.10 moves through two bolts, go left at the slab, and maneuver towards the top left corner of the cave. Surprisingly approachable (but weird) 5.11 climbing through the crux takes you to a great clipping jug and a restful stance.  The fantastic upper headwall awaits, on diagonal ribs of different shapes and sizes with cool foot placements.  Classic granite moves of 11a-ish character take you up the final "runnel".  Negotiate the correct body position to clip the anchor (two steelies).

Location Suggest change

Bottom of Tower of Babel, where the Fuego fixed line comes down.  It's  a safe and pleasant bench for belaying and hanging out.  Accessed via the trail up behind Cathedral --> hand line on slabby steps --> pathway across (see mountainproject.com/photo/1…).  Another option is to hike across the top of Watchtower and then carefully walk left through bushes.

Protection Suggest change

10 bolts -- 2 or 3 are permas for the overhang section
