Warning Access Issue: IMPORTANT notes on Wet Rock and Human Waste DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Climbs two pitches up to the base of the upper headwall at the top of the right/south side of the GRB formation. Start about 25’ left of the mushroom boulder at a left-facing flake behind some boulders. Anchors are fitted with pigtail lower-offs for easy rappelling down. That said, the varnish jugginess on the route will do its best to snag your rope! Bring 13 quickdraws and a 70m rope.

A nice 2-pitch route showcasing much of the typical climbing in Red Rock: varnish jugs, crimps, and a some friction slab, all with a great view!

P1: 5.8, 13b, 110': Climb the flake up to and over a slight bulge at its top. Continue up some slab passing to the right of a black varnish patch to steeper rock above. Next, climb the crux and into easier climbing along the right side of a crack/seam up to the anchors at a small ledge. Note: About halfway up, the route converges a bit with the route to the left, use caution if other climbers are present.

P2: 5.8, 11b, 90': Climb straight up off the anchor through some varnish jugginess to some easy slab climbing to the top. Anchors are at the base of a 4’ black varnish patch.

Rappel the route.
