Warning Access Issue: IMPORTANT notes on Wet Rock and Human Waste DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Chips Away is the runout route between Seams Novel/Epilogue routes and Ground Up Vocab. Start in the corridor formed by the ledge and the wall about 10' left of the small pine tree. It climbs the steep, blank slabby wall with a bolt at 40' just below a horizontal stripe of varnish. There are 2 more bolts through the steep bulge above to a tat anchor on bolts. A second pitch continues climbing up the face past one bolt to the top. Be careful of some loose rock below the top. A decent gear belay can be found in a left facing corner, or you could use one of the bolted anchors of another route.

Location Suggest change

About 80' right of the mushroom boulder where a steep step-across gains the higher base-ledge, step down into the corridor formed by the ledge and the wall. Pick your favorite spot along the corridor to start and aim for the lone bolt below the varnish horizontal stripe.

Protection Suggest change

Bolts, small cams/nuts. Gear is minimal and lousy.
