Warning Access Issue: IMPORTANT notes on Wet Rock and Human Waste DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

A fun route that can be a bit sandy in the first 30' as the angle and features collect any wear from above. A nice thin hands and finger crack lead to a cool (figuratively and literally) chimney on the second pitch has a tricky and exciting exit. New route as of 2022, it was thoroughly cleaned but be mindful of any leftover friable rock.

P1: 5.11a, 100'. Start in a left-facing corner next to some blocks on the upper ledge, immediately at the top of the scramble access. Climb past some soft, sandy rock to a bolt at 20' then onto a pod/ledge before heading up the crack above. As the crack closes out to a right-facing corner, the angle eases off, and a bit of face climbing leads to a short, left-facing, corner crack. Climb up another twenty feet to the mouth of a deep chimney with a small ledge and bolted anchors.

P2: 5.10d, 70'. Walk into the chimney about 10' until it narrows just past a large scoop on the right wall. Climb up and into the chimney towards the back roof. Pop out of the chimney as the roof closes it off to a 3-4 inch crack then into a low-angle corner above (crux). Continue another 30' up the low-angle corner to anchors. Bolts in the chimney then gear to 3" above (#4/5 optional).

Protection Suggest change

0.1-3", doubles 0.2-0.75 if desired (#4/5 optional), bolts.

Location Suggest change

Located on the far right side of the upper-ledge wall on the right-end of The Fringe, immediately above the scramble access. Access this wall by scrambling up on the right end. As of April 2022 there is a white rock cairn marking the scramble access.
