ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description
This is the original route up this wall, but it doesn't get a ton of traffic. Start as for The Ferret's Dead up the awkward crack to the ledge. Step left into the offwidth crack in the right-facing corner. Use the wide crack on the left and the thin crack in the face on the right to make your way to the top. From the top of the crack, look up and left for the single old hanger. It may be a good idea to exit the crack early and finish on the newer anchors for Three Fingered Hack instead of using the single ancient anchor for Cox Rocks.
