The Loadout - 5.9+ R

“Continuing with the Jackson Browne theme of this section of cliff, The Loadout is a relatively recent addition that features an excellent mix of crack and face climbing. Climb the short first pitch of Three Bolt to tbe midway bolt anchor. Ascend the left-facing corner as for Three Bolt, but where that route branches right, continue straight up the corner with a 5.7 wide hand crack to a horizontal break. Place a cam high in a tricky pod, then pull over a bulge (crux) onto a beautiful hanging slab. Dance up and right on excellent runout face climbing (5.9, gets easier the farther you get above your gear) to a ledge, then make a diagonalling beeline directly toward the anchors atop Three Bolt, joining that route for the last few feet at the end. Rack: single set of cams to 3”. A couple extra hand-sized pieces might come in handy. FA: Chris Banks and Eric Forney, circa 2016.” - Chris Banks
