Description Suggest change

Three well-protected fun pitches on good rock (recently re-scrubbed).

P1: On the right side of the alcove scramble onto a blunt arete and follow several bolts through several thought-provoking mantles to a small ledge. Follow a discontinuous hand crack in a dihedral up to the chains on the right side of a spacious ledge. 5.10

P2: On the left side of the ledge, climb up a short handcrack onto an exposed slab/arete. Pad your way up the slab/aerete clipping several bolts until you reach a bolted rightward traverse to a handcrack and a spacious ledge with a 2-bolt anchor. 5.10

Note: Going straight up without traversing left is the direct variation. 11+.

P3: From the 2-bolt anchor make thin moves onto easier face climbing passing three bolts. Move left around the corner and up a flaring thin hands crack passing a bolt to a ledge. Continue up the face passing another bolt to a 2-bolt belay on another ledge. 5.11-

Location Suggest change

On the left side of careno crag, just left of the Bale-Kramar Route, is a large gully/chimney. The left side of the gully forms a blunt arete with a small maple at the base which marks the start. The first bolt appears after a few moves.

Protection Suggest change

Single rack 0.5 to #2 camalot, a green C3 or similar is helpful on last pitch. 8 draws, 3ish being Alpine draws.
