Description Suggest change

MP comments noting that this section of Isis is a moderate 5.9 has led to it being climbed quite often. So much so that a nice set of chains was added at some point.

A thin-hands start leads to a predominately .75 crack in a left facing dihedral interspersed with the occasional hand sized pod for rests. The .75 section is at what could be considered a layback-friendly angle.

This variation of Isis can be climbed with a 60m rope.

Location Suggest change

This is the moderate start of the route Isis. The route is in a left facing dihedral with dark varnished sandstone that transitions into fresh light tan sandstone at the chain anchors after which, Isis proper continues left into a overhang traverse.

Protection Suggest change

The thin-hands start will take 1s. Above that the crack will take as many .75's as you got and a.5 or two if you're open-minded. The hand size pods amid the .75 section can take solid number 1s and maybe a 2 in few spots.
