Description

Do a bouldery start past the first bolt, then get reachy jugs and a sloper hands traverse. This was named after the axe-head shaped pinch flake after the 4th bolt (and the fact that this whole section of wall was blasted during construction of the aqueduct!). The rating is tentative, it need opinions! 5.9+ was my first guess...but it may be harder for shorter folks....

Location

It is 10 feet right of Big Tuna and 20 feet left of Wyoming Prairie Dogs.

Protection

6 bolts and a 2-bolt anchor with lower off hooks.

Not so hard (yes, ~5.10a) with some left/right movement, but it is hard belly to the bolts. Good rests along the route. Jun 9, 2018

A really good addition to the crag. It felt like solid 5.10 climbing directly up past the 4th bolt. It looked like a much easier way is possible by climbing off to the left. Jul 22, 2018
