Aug 14, 2026 · With Jeff. Very fun granite climbing. 1700 steps to descend next to the funicular! If this route was in Yosemite it would be a 5 star classic. And it would be graded 5.9 :)

Aug 13, 2026 · Excellent climbing pitch after pitch. With Jeff the day after the Integrale on the Eiger. Left the car at 5:45, hut at 6:30, climbing 7:45, summit noon, beers at the hut at 3. Loose gully on approach, and the descent is very loose early on. Very heads-up the bulk of the way down.

Aug 12, 2026 · With Jeff and Matt as part of the Integrale. Left the hut at 5:00, summit at 7:15, down at Jungfraujoch at 11:15. Continuous movement in a beautiful environment. Lightest boots, no snow until the glacier descent.

Aug 11, 2026 · Great ridge climbing with Jeff and Matt. Spent the night at Ostegghütte, cooking steaks and enjoying the views. Left at 6am, at Mittellegihütte at 11. Crux pitches must be 6b without pulling on gear, but more like 5b A0. Great views, easy routefinding, and lots of terrain. The proper way to climb the Mittellegi.

Jun 26, 2026 · Excellent route. Every pitch is fun, very well bolted, and it finishes with a great exposed long summit ridge. For a plaisir route it’s great for the grade. Climbed in light boots, Anna took second half to the top. Hut breakfast at 7 Base 8:15 top of 5s 10:45 summit 1:00 hut via down climb 3:45 with no rushing. Hut is small/rustic, nice hut keepers, and has solid dinners.
