My favorite routes are alpine rock/scrambling and alpine snow routes (couloirs). I live up in the Vail area and climb a lot of the 5.8/9 range routes in the area after work, there are some enjoyable fun climbs without a "scene" - just the way I like it! The options are rather limited though, and occasionally I head to the front range or Glenwood Springs area to climb with friends. Most of the local stuff I have climbed I don't even know the names or ratings of, I am just out there having fun. Mostly I stick to 5.8/9 climbs and maybe some "easier" .10s (if someone else leads).
