HUMAN WASTE: Human waste is a major issue plaguing the area. The Southern Nevada Climbers Coalition (SNCC) works to provide "wag bags" free of charge in several locations: Black Velvet Canyon, The Hamlet, Kraft Mountain Area, The Gallery, and The Black Corridor. These bags are designed so that you can pack your waste out. Consider bringing one to be part of your daily kit no matter where you go. Once used, please dispose of them properly. Do not throw them in the toilets at the parking areas.
See https://www.southernnevadaclimbers.org/wag-bags for more information on the program.
Description
This is a TR only climb where you must first climb the route to the right (Reverse Osmosis) to access the anchors. Start 8' left of the RO bolt line and follow easy climbing for 25' to where the wall becomes noticeably steeper. There are good hand holds above a slight bulge but locating the best ones may take some time if you want to keep this crux at 5.9. Easy slab climbing the final 20' leads to the anchors which are not equipped for lowering or rappelling. You must climb an additional 15' to reach the RO anchors in order to rappel.
Location
The best way to do this climb is to first climb Reverse Osmosis all the way to its anchors. Then rappel down RO and clip a directional QD and one end of your rap rope onto one of the anchor bolts for SDW. These anchors are located 15' below and 8' to the left of the RO anchors. The last person to TR the route will need to clean the draw before descending from the RO anchor.
