Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
Starts on the same ledge as El Alacran, but to the left of the manzanita tree. It goes up the thin crack until the roof, but you can alternatively go up the crack with trees growing out of it.
At the roof, place some extended gear and pull some really fun moves through the dagger-like flake. Once through the roof, jam the crack (on the right side of the large flake until you can surmount it.)
Once on top of the flake, pull another move into a sort of flare/corner/flake, which takes good gear. Make one thrutchy move until you can either lieback or jam the flake. A 4" piece is nice here. A few more moves get you to a nice sandy ledge with a bolted anchor.
