Description
This is a mega pitch and one of the longest routes on the granite!
1. Climb the 10a chimney start to Kilodeer.
OR
2. Begin from the left side of the 2nd tier.
From the anchors of Kilodeer, climb up jugs and horizontals for the first third of the route up restful stances and generally good flat holds. After the last big horizontal, the crux begins at the smooth green section of the wall where you trend left and pull some thin moves on crimps (this is well protected and over quickly).
After the crux, trend left towards the arete and ride a glorious juggy flake all the way up the arete to the top of the cliff while clipping bolts out to the right. Gain the final jug rail and mantle up to clip the chains and you have made it through the labyrinth.
Would be a classic pitch if not for the horizontal ledges at the start and the rock quality was a tiny bit better. Still, a worthy outing with some thoughtful climbing and great exposure.
IF STARTING FROM THE GROUND A 70M ROPE IS REQUIRED. KNOT THE END!
