Description
A logical linkup between The Journey and Born on the 4th of July, traversing left at the final roof of the former and leading directly into the crux of the latter.
It climbs like an upgraded version of Born, with a much harder face that builds a substantial pump leading into the hardest sequence on the headwall.
For the traverse between the routes, it is strongly recommended to protect it with two .75s, one in a horizontal crack approximately 6 feet left of Journey's roof jugs, and another about 6 feet further left in a vertical crack near the ledge that many use as a rest before Born's crux.
As with Born, for full value climb past the anchors and take a seat to enjoy the view. You've earned it after about 145 feet of hard moves.
A 72-meter rope barely had enough length for the lower, so it is not recommended to use anything less than that.
