Description
About 50-60 feet up from the ground immediately left of La Directe is an overhanging section of rock. This overhanging section corresponds in elevation with the slot mentioned in the La Directe description. Several bolted variations go up through this overhanging section.
Variante de la Directe is the variation immediately left of La Directe. It climbs an obvious "V" that leads through the overhanging section. The "V" is almost directly underneath the first anchor for La Directe, so this can easily be top roped after doing P1.
Climb the bolt protected face immediately left of the La Directe cracks to a bulge about 40 feet up. Continue above the bulge up through an obvious "V" to the anchor.
NOTE: The other bolted variations through the overhanging section Chouca, Chouca Variante, etc.) are the next closely spaced bolt lines immediately left of the "V."
