ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Check this site for details: smithrock.com/seasonal-clos…
Description
A good route broken into two parts by a big ledge. Difficult moves up the initial corner leads to a ledge. Move right past a pointless chain anchor (straight up is the continuation of “Six Hits of Sunshine” - these two routes cross each other at the ledge), tiptoe up to make a clip, and continue stemming to a final runout to an anchor out left.
Location
A little tricky to identify but the line of Spellbound is easy to find because it has only three bolts down low (the rest being gear-protected). Immediately left of Spellbound is the striking and tightly bolted stem box of Virtual Beach. Drepane is the third bolted line left of Virtual Beach.
