Access Issue: Variable Hunting season - Saison de chasse variable
Details
Cette année (2025), la fermeture de ces deux sites d'escalade pour la chasse à l'arme à feu est du samedi 11 octobre au dimanche 26 octobre inclusivement.
Cependant, le Sanatorium fermera EN PLUS pour la chasse à l'arc et à l'arbalète du samedi 20 septembre au dimanche 5 octobre inclusivement.
Pour rappel:
ces sites d'escalade se situent sur un terrain privé qui est englobé par la ZEC, mais avec des dates de chasse souvent différentes de celles de la ZEC. Le propriétaire du terrain nous a averti, si lui ou ses amis nous voient passer sur son terrain durant ces dates, il va remettre en question notre accès. Alors, de ne pas y aller pendant la chasse est un moindre mal en échange d'un accès libre le reste de l'année.
Gros Bonnet (A.K.A. Le Cap des Sept Côtes) - Sanatorium, closed for hunting
This year (2025), these two climbing sites will be closed for firearm hunting from Saturday, October 11 to Sunday, October 26, inclusive.
However, the Sanatorium will ALSO be closed for bow and crossbow hunting from Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, October 5, inclusive.
Reminder:
these climbing sites are located on private land that is part of the ZEC, but with hunting dates that often differ from those of the ZEC. The landowner has warned us that if he or his friends see us on his property during these dates, he will reconsider our access. So, not going there during hunting season is a small price to pay in exchange for free access the rest of the year
Description
P1 5.9 25m
Climb the beautiful dihedral facing left with the wide crack. Width can look intimidating from below, but it is possible to get out of it without too much force. (2 bolts)
Grimper le beau dièdre faisant face à gauche avec la fissure large. Largeur qui peut avoir l'air intimidante d'en bas, mais il est possible de s'en sortir sans trop forcer. (2 bolts)
P2 5.11c 30m
Climb in a straight line in the overhanging crack ending in a chimney. Very sequential length and difficult to do on sight. Length often wet when the ground is saturated with water (in spring and after several days of rain).
Grimper en ligne droite dans la fissure surplombante se terminant par une cheminée. Longueur très séquentielle et difficile à faire à vue. Longueur souvent mouillé lorsque le sol est saturé d'eau (au printemps et après plusieurs jours de pluie).
Location
Walk 100 m from the intersection where the spine board and just before reaching the fixed ropes leading to La correction, take a path to the left. Continue about 30-40 m and the route is the obvious dihedral with a wide crack.
Faire 100 m de marche à partir de l'intersection où la planche dorsale et juste avant d'arriver aux cordes fixes menant à La correction, prendre un sentier vers la gauche. Continuer environ 30-40 m et la voie est l'évident dièdre avec une fissure large.
Protection
Standard double rack, a Camalot #4 and #5 and/or #6 (the big Camalot are for the first pitch)

Descent
rappel down the route with a single 60 m rope (old webbing) with carabiner to be checked at the second anchor + rappel rings at the first anchor).
Rappeler dans la voie avec une seule corde de 60 m (vieille sangle avec mousqueton à vérifier au deuxième relais + anneaux de rappels au premier relais).
