Private land Details
The forested land is privately owned and the Alpine Club of Canada has secured access to climbing by offering him liability insurance.
- Must be a member of an organisation which has signed an agreement with the owner (presently the ACC May 2014)
- No construction of permanent structures.
- No cutting of trees unless absolutely required at the base, top and on the cliff only.
DescriptionThis heroic pitch is the original 5th in line on La Correction.
Assuming you have passed the bolted belay after P4 on La Correction and gained the ledge with a small cedar tree above and left of that (where a belay on gear, rather than the small tree, would make sense), you need not further explanation. Crank the magnificent, slightly overhanging crack to a bolted belay. It's called Le Bureau du Directeur (the Principal's Office) because if you didn't get a good "correction" (in the sense of punishment) on the four pitches below, now is when the ruler slaps your fingers and hands with much gusto!!!
LOWER: Single rap to the previous bolted anchor and then two double-raps to the ground.
