Access Issue: Red Rock RAIN AND WET ROCK: The sandstone is fragile and is very easily damaged when wet. Details

Description

A straightforward warm-up for the more interesting and challenging Big Foot

Location

Near the top/far right of the large slabby boulder in the corner between the Black Track crack and the tan-colored steep face of Buffalo Balls

Protection

Three bolts to a two-bolt chain anchor. A couple mediocre gear placements exist to protect stepping off the boulder onto the face. Feels less run-out than it looks

A decent climb. The crux is getting past the 1st bolt. 5.7 from the 2nd bolt to the top. Jul 17, 2018

The top bolt on this route should be removed. This bolt is within reach of the route Sole Slasher aka Bigfoot which is a long-standing sport route that pre-dates Camel Toe by decades. The final bolt of Camel Toe is a little off to the right side during the notable final run-out of the older route. The nature of climbing on Sole Slasher aka Bigfoot has been changed by the placement of this bolt and consequently I feel that the final bolt on Camel Toe should be removed. Sep 5, 2018
