Description Suggest change

Short, stout, right-leaning meat grinder that is solid hands (with smears for feet) for the first half and then a fairly casual layback for the 2nd half. Definitely need to tape up for the first section.

Location Suggest change

When approaching the rock from the village, go around the right side, past the gap between the two rocks. This route is the obvious right leaning hand-sized splitter on the smaller of the 2 main rocks that make up the formation. Start up and right to a small ledge then back up and left to another ledge and 2-bolt belay. From anchor you can move around on the top of the rock/boulder but to get to the top of Pedra Escrita 'proper' would require a dicey scramble/ or another short pitch.

Protection Suggest change

Doubles Camelot 0.5-#2; #3 and #4 also useful. 2-bolt belay.
