Description

Fun climb that starts in/near a large crack, sort of runs up the right side of 2 cool parallel curving cracks with a few tricky moves up high. Unfortunately it gets a touch sandy near the top but still very much worth the effort.

Location

Left side of Volunteer Wall, just left of an arete. See photo.

Protection

7 bolts.

Fun climb, but would be a lot better without the loads of sand from the last bolt to the anchors. Aug 21, 2010

Really varied climbing, definitely a fun lead with some spicy moves for a 10b leader. The arete stays damp near the top longer than the rest of the climb, if this is the case you can clip the second to last bolt and traverse left to finish the climb using the wide crack. Fair warning, the top of the climb is sandy and a bit runout from the last bolt to the anchors. Mar 9, 2018

Nice bolted crack climbing in beginning. Then pump fest. Some interesting arete moves at the top with weird top out to chains. First person video: youtu.be/CMdDw-CFytg 4 days ago
