Protect Access in Owens River Gorge! Details

The route on the West face of the tower, to the left of the bolted off-width.

Climb past a small "roof" before tackling the sustained upper headwall. A power endurance test. Considered a gorge classic.

West face of the tower.

9 bolts + mussy's.

Very sustained, very fun. In my opinion, there is no single "stopper" move, just a slew of respectably pumpy moves, which, when added together, make things difficult. Apr 4, 2011

Another classic 12a in the Gorge. Apr 1, 2013
kinda sporty to the first bolt, I see a lot of folks using a stick clip here. Feb 16, 2014

The movement on this climb is fantastic! I'd say this is a great first twelve in the gorge for someone who is more accustomed to technical face climbing than yarding up jugs. It's also very generously bolted so go get after it! Oct 28, 2015
