| Mar 3, 2022 · Solo. This BOULDER is higher than 15 feet. Three out of the six bolts have been removed from this climb. Would be amazing if someone took the time to remove the three remaining bolts at the top of the BOULDER. The downed tree has been removed and the stump has been cut down! Landing is scary, but butter with a few pads. JUST BECAUSE YOU DRILL UNNECESSARY BOLTS INTO A BOULDER DOESN'T MAKE IT A SPORT CLIMB - this BOULDER had huge potential to be one of the classic BOULDER problems in Colorado's front range. Instead, some idiot decided to not only chip every single hold on the vertical face, but also drill not two... but three bolts to the top of this BOULDER (two of which have already been completely coated in rust due to them not being stainless steel). THIS IS NOT A SPORT CLIMB AND SHOULD NOT BE GRADED AS ONE! That being said… This stand start BOULDER starts on two obvious crimps (tried to work out a sit start but couldn’t find beta). Work your way up the chipped crimps to a big throw at the end (top out is NOT a gimme). V3/4 I still highly recommend giving this BOULDER some goes. It’s a powerful and technical climb with poor feet that’ll make you feel wonderful once you top it. Just be prepared to commit for the final move. TOP OUT RECOMMENDED! The down climb is quite sketchy and difficult. I suggest topping out and down climbing the northwest arete by the tree. | ||||
