Multipitch where you can meet hikers at the top

Synchronizing a meet up between hikers and climbers on Mt. Whitney would be a cool trick to pull off. Logistically tricky but the hiking is moderate at best and the climbing, only 5.7 alpine rock with stellar positioning on the mountain. |

Michael Smalley wrote: 25 mile round trip with significant miles and time above 10K'. Sure, the hiking is moderate from a technical standpoint, but that by no means is a moderate hike. Certainly not "chill" as the OP requested. |

Lots of good multi-pitch up Table Mountain in Cape Town,. and your friends can take a cable-car to the top to meet you there, though there's also a reasonable hiking trail. |

All worthy of laps (not Gross), solos (not Gross), repeat visits over years. Chill climbs, chill hiking/tram down on Gross, good parking lots |

Rachel Crowl wrote: I don't think so as the climbing / bivi permit should cover that, but I'm totally guessing. However note that Prodigal Sun is a reservable route: https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/climbingpermits.htm |

A few more northeast ideas beyond Cathedral/Whitehorse, all with good climbing. depending on hiking fitness: Huntington Ravine on Mt Washington NH, Tumbledown Mountain in Maine, and Katahdin in Maine. Of note, all 3 have strenuous hikes to the summit (and to access the climbing itself), but Mt Washington also has a road to the top with parking and a short trail that meets up wit the top of the climbing routes. |

I know a couple have mentioned routes that finish at the top of the Angel's Landing hike, so I'll throw this one into the mix as well, The Lowe Route 5.10 C3 |

RKM wrote: WTF? Diedre does not get you ANYWHERE near where the hikers go, not to near any of the summits, not even to near any of the hiker's trails. Deidre just gets you to one area at the top of the Apron. You still have several hundred metres of climbing before reaching the spots where the hikers are. |

Table Rock, NC. North Ridge is particularly chill at 3 pitches of 5.5. The hike up (and down) is pretty nice as well. |
