Buxxcrack Buttress Rock Climbing

This fun buttress is located at the junction of Pine Creek Canyon and Buckhorn Wash. Its a perfect destination for a day outing from SLC.  The hang is nice and the approach can't be beat.  Driving down Buckhorn you cannot miss it because the Buttress is just south of the intersection of PCC and BW. The namesake is a huge wide crack with a deep hole a near the top. At arriving at the base we found the words Bu**crack Buttress scratched in the rock, hence the name. It faces southwest to northwest getting nice sun in the cool spring and fall, or morning shade in the hotter months. In addition to the routes described, there is a historic testpiece fifty feet right of the described routes with thin hands through a 8 foot roof with anchors on the face above (probably a DA route).
