The capital of Ladakh is Leh (elevation roughly 11,000 feet). Leh has many places to stay, eat and buy supplies. There are numerous tour operators in Leh who can provide logistical help and there is a small climbing gym, where you will find local climbers. Most of Ladakh is high elevation (roads go to nearly 18,000 feet), so use common sense with acclimatization.
