Description Suggest change

The substantial crag on the right at the head of the Borrowdale valley, above the hamlet of Seathwaite.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive up to Seathwaite, find a parking spot and continue walking to the start of the hiking path on the right next to Sourmilk Ghyll. Take this excellent, although steep, path (past wonderful waterfall(s) [ see photo] until the trail flattens out. Gillercombe is the large cliff on the right ahead of you. Cut cross-country (beware of rather "damp" conditons underfoot) to the base, passing a boulder. [photo]
