Description

At the end of the "flats", before reaching Gillercombe Buttress, there's a nice boulder. When we came down from Gillercombe there was a solo boulderer working on a route. The route started on the face just left of the right-side edge and climbed that face upwards and slightly left-ish.)

He seemed to appreciate our verbal support and, perhaps even more, the spot I offered. In any event about his 2nd or 3rd try (after we got there) he "sent" his route. Jolly good show! I thought the whole episode one of the purest renditions of climbing I had ever witnessed.
