Description
A beautiful and pristine area with a moderate approach when compared to most alpine settings. Fun, featured rock with great climbing form an excellent palette for traditional routes with multiple variations. Plenty of lines exist here, both reported and unreported, expect adventurous, traditional ascending. This area has also become a destination for ice and mixed climbing. Conditions will vary.
The climbing here differs in difficulty, routes can be as easy as 5.7 and as hard as 5.11, ice and mixed lines cover most ratings given the season. You'll need a full rack, sometimes doubles, slings, and draws, as well as a 60 meter rope. Most climbers will use a 70 meter or double ropes.
Season will vary, but considering its orientation and elevation, Summer and Fall tend to be the best. If coming early season, expect snow at the base and consider poles, crampons, axes, etc.
