Description
The Lost Boys Area of North Bald Cap is located on the far right side of the huge cliff. It is a smaller but much steeper section with great holds and features. The rock quality is good but the routes here are new so beware of any lingering loose rock. The area offers mostly sport routes but bring the trad rack for some fun trad and mixed routes. This is a great spot to hit after a lap up the slabs. There is always a route in the shade!
Getting There
From the main parking area ( end of road and start of the Old path to the slabs) walk back down the road 0.2 Mi and take a left. This 2nd road quickly ends at a stream. Cross the stream and follow a trail. Eventually the trail takes a hard right (cairn) and heads uphill. About 40-50 ft beyond the cairn the New Path to the slabs branches off left ( flagging, 2023) Here, do not go left but rather continue straight uphill to the crag. Approach time is 15-20 minutes. ( Perhaps more today as the path has seen little use.)
