DescriptionRed Feather Lakes is a small town located Northwest of Fort Collins. The Red Feather Lakes region generally refers to everything North of the Poudre Canyon (CO Hwy 14) and everything south of the Chambers Lake Road.
The area is known for pristine lakes and granite domes stretching as far as the eye can see. Fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking are the most common forms of recreation.
Climbers have been exploring the Red Feather Lakes region since the mid-'70s. Bouldering and trad climbing are the most common, but crags like the Grazing Allotment are bringing a surge of bolt-protected routes as well.
Getting ThereFrom Fort Collins, travel North on US Hwy 287 until you reach the town of Livermore. Turn West on the Red Feather Lakes Road (CR 74E). Continue on the Red Feather Lakes road for approximately 23.4 miles. Turn right on to Co Rd 67J, and continue for less than a mile to the town of Red Feather Lakes.
