Description
Some brilliant flowstone climbing in the vicinity of Reptile Smile is the signature of Blacknor North. As with the rest of Portland, most routes are bolted, up to a height of about 25m. Routes not to miss include Sling Shot (5, 5.7), Reptile Smile (6a+, 5.10c) and England's Dreaming (7a+, 5.12a).
Getting There
Park in the "Climbers' and Walkers' car park", signposted from the road South through Weston. Head out towards the coast and walk right (North) along the coast path for about 10 minutes. You will pass an enclosed compound on the right then go through a small quarried area. Shortly after the quarry, a small path leads steeply down left and then back South along the base of the cliffs. This is the far North end of the area.
