Description
A beautiful collection of glacial erratics on a ridge in Killington, VT. Access area from the Appalachian Trail. This is primarily a bouldering area with great rock, easy access, and a beautiful setting. Currently, there are about 109 developed problems with the potential for a little bit more. Some of these problems may have been climbed 10-12 years ago by Nate Whitehorne and other individuals passing through the area. Some of the rock may need some cleaning.
Guidelines to follow here:
- Be respectful of other hikers, runners, and boulderers
- Don't disrupt the natural ecosystem (as with many areas, we want to preserve as much of it as possible)
- What you bring in, your bring out - NO LITTERING
- Be safe and have fun
Other climbing areas within five minutes: Catamount Boulders (bouldering) and Deer Leap (mostly roped climbing)

Getting There
Take Thundering Brook Rd from route 4 in Killington, VT. Follow the road past Mountain Meadows Lodge and park on the left just before the dam. Follow the road back towards Route 4 for roughly 50 feet and look for the white-blazed trail on the left. Follow the AT north for 2-3 minutes and you will cross a small stream. You will see the first boulder on the right just after the stream. Continue 200 yards past to the Red Eft boulder on the right and 50 more yards up the trail to the Dirty Crack boulder. Most of the boulders are behind these two scattered in the woods on or just below the ridge. There are two more clusters about 50-100 yards down the trail past the Dirty Crack boulder.
