Description
There are various crags in this high country area including Cunningham Gulch, Eureka area, South Mineral Creek, The Stripe, and Trainrobber Wall. There is a mix of bolted and traditional lines. There are routes up to 500 feet long here and plenty of potential for more, especially for those willing to walk a bit further. The rock climbing is generally in the late spring to fall time. There are beautiful valleys here with plenty of waterfalls. In general, the climbers are far outnumbered by the wildlife. Altitudes are generally 9000' and up. Sun protection is useful for the sensitive. Be prepared to mountain weather.
