Powell River offers excellent climbing. Everything from bouldering, sport, and trad. The Eldred Valley has enough rock to easily rival Squamish. , take 2 ferries, starting from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, then drive the sunshine coast and hop on another ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay. Keep in mind the second ferry is free. The total time for the trip is around 3-4 hours.
