Access Issue: Logging Roads - Restricted Access Details

Logging road access is before 5am and after 6pm during the week. Weekends and statutory holidays have 24 hour access. If you are unsure about the access, ask before you go.

Description

The Eldred Valley contains a vast expanse of huge granite walls. It will provide great climbing and a wilderness experience. There is also some excellent bouldering and hiking. Information for routes is best found here, or going to the recently opened Powell River Climbing Co-op in the Townsite Market.

Getting There

Turn off Hwy 101 on to Dixon Road. Follow Dixon road for 5 mins until it joins the Goat Lake Mainline. Drive the Goat Main for 34 miles to the CAD Climbers Camp. Psyche Slab & Caragdur are both accessed from the CAD Climbers Camp. Access the West Main Wall at Mile 35, Amon Gwareth via the Dianne Main, and Amon Rudh at mile 39 (4wd). All logging roads in Powell River are marked in MILES.
