Getting There
Walk right along the whole base of Carag-Dur until you reach a small col and the Aloha boulders. Turn left and walk up the ridge for 150m towards the top of Carag-Dur, then turn right around a big tree, ignoring a trail that follows the top of Carag-Dur. Pass a bunch of streams and follow orange AND blue flags. When you reach the next ridge, the trail splits. Ignore the blue markers going left and up the ridge. Orange and blue markers lead in various directions downhill to a gully in front of you. Thwack your way directly across the gully to a large granite shelf. Cross the shelf back into the forest for a short thwack to a slab. Turn right downhill. In July 2023 it was a bushwack from here. Three fixed ropes in the forest will lead to the bottom of the slab which turns into a gully. Climb out of the gully on the other side using more fixed ropes. A few steps uphill bring you to the final fixed rope crux through angry cedar bushes at 50.145431,-124.230198 and up to a ledge. Plan 2-4 hours approach time.
