To descend from Upper Ruper, do the 100' Chockstone Chimney rappel to the Upper Ramp. From the base of Chockstone Chimney, scramble up a short slab and down the other side to a bolted rappel anchor by the tree shown in the photo. <em>Note: tree is now gone.</em> A 60' rappel takes you to a stance with bolts and chains. An 80' rappel takes you to Vertigo Ledge. Follow Vertigo Ledge uphill until it meets the West Face trail. ● We had a hard time finding the raps by the tree.
